Trying to Become Crafty

Trying...that's the main word here! Lately, I have been in the crafty mood....which is weird for me! A couple weekends ago, I went home and I went shopping with Kali. I decided to buy some fabric to make my own adult baby blanket. (Baby blankets are always so soft, and I don't know where they sell adult size ones.) I deicided I couldn't have a blanket without matching pillows! I still need to make two more pillow cases.

Since I just bought a new car, I wanted to make a cute lanyard for my keys. I hate the neck lanyards because they always get in my way, so I made a mini one!!
I have to thank my mom for helping me! She was so patient and was a good teacher...Maybe my next project I will do by myself!

Why I love my Neighborhood

The neighborhood I live in is so great. I love it. Everyone is really kind and so helpful. I always get the neighborhood kids knocking on the door to come buy lemonade from their lemonade stand, and how can I say no to them! (Even if they are selling gross grape juice!) Today a group of kids came knocking and asked if there was any chores they could do for me....FOR FREE! They just wanted to stop by and say hi and to see if I needed any help! I already have the house clean so I couldn't think of anything. It is great to know that kids at such a young age want to help others out!

4th of July!

BYU-I only gives the students the 4th off, so it makes it hard for us college kids to come home party for one day and travel back to Rexburg to go back to school or work the next morning. My parents decided to hold the party on Saturday this year. I had today off so I decided it would be my catch up day for cleaning, mowing, laundry, and homework that way I don't have to worry about it this weekend.
This is what most of my day consisted of...I just really hope all this studying pays off! But I have gotten a lot done and I am SOOO excited for this weekend!
I can't wait to see my family and friends and celebrate this great country we live in. Happy birthday America!!!!
